Atlantis set to host over $100,000 Hot August Nights Celebration
Cruise of Champions returns to honor top classic cars
Reno, NV – Over $100,000 will be up for grabs during the Atlantis Hot August Nights Celebration, which will showcase classic cars, live entertainment and fun promotions Monday, August 5 through Saturday, August 10.
Registered Hot August Nights car participants will have the opportunity to compete in the legendary Cruise of Champions™ for a chance to win a share of $15,000. Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded nightly for Best of Show, Judge’s Choice, Best Restored Original, Best Resto Mod, Best Street Rod/Cruiser and Best Special Interest. Festivities at the Atlantis will wrap up Saturday night with a $50,000 Hot Prize Wheel Drawing, which will give guests an opportunity to win cash and free play.
“Hot August Nights is a tradition like none other in northern Nevada,” said Cheraz Ecker, general manager of Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. “We love providing our valued guests with a trip down memory lane complete with beautiful cars, exciting events and family-friendly fun.”
Carnaval (Santana tribute), Escalade, the Eric Henry Andersen Band and Petty Rocks (Tom Petty tribute) are scheduled to perform on the outdoor stage in the west parking lot.
The Atlantis Hot August Nights Celebration will also feature a $20,000 Blazing Slot Tournament, a $20,000 Hot Rod Hot Seats Event, a $2,500 Shake, Rattle & Roll Keno Tournament, daily Acres of Champions Show-n-Shines, entertaining contests and a Cruisin’ Craft Fair.
Additionally, the Atlantis will be offering commemorative Hot August Nights Monarch Rewards cards while supplies last plus 3X comp points on slots Thursday, August 8 and 5X comp points on slots Friday, August 9.
