Atlantis slot machine change program helps to raise $150,000 for charities
Kiosks on casino floor give guests option to donate
Reno, NV – Guests at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa have donated over $150,000 to charities thanks to special kiosks on the casino floor. The kiosks, which use a program designed by slot manufacturing company Everi, give guests the option to donate the change from their cash-out tickets to four charities: Food Bank of Northern Nevada, the American Cancer Society – Great West Division, Honor Flight Nevada and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeastern California and Northern Nevada.
“We were the first casino in northern Nevada to utilize the Everi Cares Giving Module program that allows us to offer this unique opportunity,” said Steve Ringkob, corporate director of slot operations at Atlantis. “Thanks to the incredible generosity of our guests, we’ve been able to make a direct and significant impact in our community by supporting these wonderful charities.”
The Atlantis has 12 kiosks on the casino floor where guests can redeem their cash-out tickets. Upon inserting their tickets in a kiosk, guests can donate any change to a specific charity, distribute their change between all four of the charities listed or they can opt to receive the full amount of their ticket back.
Since the program’s inception in 2018, Atlantis guests have donated $40,096.53 to the American Cancer Society – Great West Division, $39,467.93 to Food Bank of Northern Nevada, $33.213.61 to Honor Flight Nevada and $37,412.66 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeastern California and Northern Nevada.
On average, Atlantis guests have donated $127 per day using the redemption kiosks.
