Community Engagement

The Atlantis was excited to be the first northern Nevada resort to offer guests redeeming a gaming ticket the opportunity to make charitable donations. This technology is offered by slot manufacturing company, Everi.

Guests can donate their slot machine change to select charities, including Food Bank of Northern Nevada, The American Cancer Society - Great West Division and The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeastern and Central California & Northern Nevada.

In September, the City of Reno celebrated the opening of the new Moana Springs Community Aquatics and Fitness Center. The Atlantis supported the project with a $250,000 donation, which was used to purchase equipment and furniture for the facility’s fitness center and multi-use rooms. Our CEO John Farahi attended the ribbon-cutting event, reaffirming our commitment to invest in the community. The Moana Springs Community Aquatics and Fitness Center is a 52,000-square-foot facility that features an Olympic-size indoor competition pool, a multi-use indoor recreation pool, an outdoor soaking pool, a 5,000-square-foot fitness center, locker rooms and multi-use rooms.

As part of our mission to make a positive impact in the community where we live, work, and raise our families, the Atlantis Volunteer Committee is dedicated to making a difference. Throughout the year, Team Members serve a number of organizations, working together for the greater good.

Every coin that’s thrown into any Atlantis fountain is collected and donated to Make-A-Wish of Northeastern and Central California & Northern Nevada. Since the inception of this program in 1992 and in addition to various hosted events on property, Atlantis guests have donated over $100,000 to Make-A-Wish.

The Atlantis is committed to supporting veterans in a number of ways. Every November, the Atlantis provides all who bravely served a complimentary buffet in honor of Veterans Day. In 2024, the Atlantis proudly served 1,300 veterans at Toucan Charlie’s. Furthermore, the Atlantis was able to raise nearly $600 for Honor Flight Nevada by selling American flag pins at the Main Cage and The Shoppes at Atlantis.
